Registrations are flowing in at *double* the rate of last year. As a result, we're going to try to cap players at 32 for the morning session and 32 for the evening session. This would add up to 10 players less than last year's numbers. And if the date is any indicator, we're running *double* that... so don't delay -- please get those registrations in soon to reserve your spot. Remember, every player receives a colorful Skyrocket t-shirt, available only at Skyrocket Soccer Academy. Are you one of the few that have collected a t-shirt from each of the past two years? If so, be sure to attend in '08 to complete your collection, 3 for 3.

Note that for the 3rd year in a row, we've held costs at under $100. That's a lot more than most soccer clinics in Louisville can say. What's more, for the third year in a row, we're bringing in a former professional player. Just as in past years, our special featured guest trainer this year was born in England, but this time, he was raised in Canada where he grew up to play in a Canadian professional league.

Today, Coach Greg Gidman stopped by to see Coach Lucas. They visited the CAL practice fields, where Skyrocket Soccer is held each year. The spring rains have helped bring out the grass really well. The outlook is that the fields will be in excellent shape by June 16, opening day.

Catch the fresh smell of that grass... hear the sounds of Skyrocket Soccer techno music wafting from the "HQ tent"... renew old friends, and make new friends, all the while, improving and honing your soccer skills for next tryout, next season, next game.

New to this year's clinic will be a featured 30-minute session of agility training, offered, again, by special college coach, Greg Gidman. "I find that our college level players excel when challenged in agility training," reported Coach Gidman today. "I'd like to give younger players a jump-start on age-appropriate agility work too."

Also today, Coach Lucas took Coach Gidman on a tour of Team Expansion's Hopewell Road office, as well as the mission's new campus on Routt Road, "Emerald Hills." In the near future, Coach Gidman will be leading teams on short-term mission trips to Brazil, South America, and Senegal, West Africa. In both locations, he'll be mixing USA players with international players for the good of the players, the good of the game, and the good of the Kingdom. "This past season, our college team really came together. We did regular discipleship studies together and it was one of my favorite seasons of all time."

Coach Gidman has led 10 years of camps, literally dozens and dozens of weeks over the years. He has coached youth of all ages. He'll be bringing his own children to the camp, in fact -- a 10-year-old and 12-year-old to the morning camp, and a 16-year-old to the evening session.

Register today to lock in your spot at Skyrocket. You won't regret it.
